You will always forever be in my heart!
Ken was a very sweet man. He was my band teacher when I first wanted to learn how to play the clarinet. He told me that if that’s what I wanted to play then he would make sure that he would teach me everything he could about the clarinet. I went to many of the J.R. Lilac Parades with him and the Torch Light Parades. I was also able to participate in receiving the trophy when we placed in the J.R. Lilac Parade. I can’t remember the exact date but I think that I was in the 5th grade. I just want to tell the family that Ken touched many lives and mine was one of them. So thank you for having such a wonderful person to share with all of us.
Ken you will always be in my heart and till I see you again God Bless…

April,
Thank you for your post. Many of us have memories of that first year (5th grade) of picking a instrument and having Dad teach us to play the instrument we wanted to play. Once in a while he would suggest a little more to others that they should play something else. I am sure he saw in you a desire and I don’t know if you knew this but that was what he played in band when he was a kid. He played clarinet in the band he was a member in Mesa.
Thanks,
Rob
