A WONDERFUL TEACHER & MENTOR, MR. FISHER

I want to send my deep condolences to Mrs. Fisher, Rob, family and friends.  Mr. Fisher will be greatly missed and often remembered.

My name is June Hamilton (Shaner).  I graduated in 1967.  I was in Mr. Fishers typing class, band class and a member in his drill team.  I have many wonderful, not to be forgotten, memories.  I have great respect and admiration for Mr. Fisher.

He has always been one I looked forward to visiting with at the Park during Settlers Days.  Classmates stood in line waiting for their turn to talk to Mr. Fisher.  I really think he enjoyed seeing all of us as much as we enjoyed talking to him.  He knew and remembered all of us.  Just last summer he said, ” Some of these guys come up to me with a full beard, baseball cap and sun glasses trying to trip me up.”  He could still figure out who they were.  Amazing!

Mr. Fisher made a difference in Deer Park.  He made a difference in our lives!  We will all miss him terribly.

Rob, I want to commend you for this web site.  A wonderful memorial to your Dad.

Once a gain, my condolences to you and your family.

June Hamilton (Shaner)

Thank you for the expression of your memories. I was always amazed at Dad’s ability to not only remember people but their names after 30 years. People were important to him and it showed as we look back at his life. Thank you for contributing and this website is as much as yours as it ours.

    Rob
