FOND MEMORIES & GREAT APPRECIATION!

I had an opportunity to talk to Ken at last years Settlers Day Parade, where I attended my 40 year class reunion.  This was the first time I had seen Mr. Fisher in over 30 years.  He looked great!  I told him how much our family enjoyed and appreciated being in band at Deer Park.  He expressed his appreciation to the parents who purchased instruments for their children (in our case five, which was no small achievement) and the support of the community and school district.

Five of us participated in band from 1962 to 1970.  I enjoyed trips to Couer d’ Lane, Pendelton and Calgary.  My sister Judy will always remember her first airplane flight to Pasadena, where she marched in the Rose Day Parade and visited Disneyland and Sea World.  We were all so proud of Ken and his 1976 Band for being selected as Washington States representative to Philadelphia for the Bi-Centennial Celebration.  What an honor and accomplishment!

Ken Fisher was a man of vision, passion, creativity and patience.  He brought the love of music and dance to an entire community.  His standards were set high — his achievements great!  This family will be forever grateful.
